Product Roadmap

A product roadmap shows the path ahead, helps teams plan, and guides the delivery of the product.

The beginning of beginnings

P0

Trading is both an art and a science, requiring a deep understanding of market dynamics, disciplined execution, and a commitment to lifelong learning. At the heart of every successful trading journey lies a foundation built on knowledge - knowledge that is meticulously gathered from books, studies, and expert materials. These resources provide the insights, strategies, and mental frameworks necessary to navigate the complexities of financial markets effectively. By dedicating time to study and continuous education, traders equip themselves with the tools to adapt, innovate, and thrive.

Backtesting basics

P1

Backtesting Basics involves evaluating trading strategies using historical data to assess their performance and reliability. This process helps identify a strategy's strengths, weaknesses, potential risks, and rewards. By comparing different strategies and parameters, backtesting allows for adjustments to improve results. However, it has limitations and challenges, such as data quality issues, curve fitting, and survivorship bias. For this reason, strategies are always tested with caution and realism, recognizing that backtesting should not be the sole method of validation.

Optimization methods

P2

Optimization Methods is the process of determining the ideal values for strategy parameters to maximize desired objectives, such as profit, returns, or the Sharpe ratio. It enhances strategy performance and efficiency while minimizing drawdowns and volatility. Various optimization methods are available, including brute force, genetic algorithms, and machine learning, each with its own strengths and weaknesses based on factors like complexity, speed, and accuracy. We select the method that aligns best with our strategy's characteristics and optimization goals.

Portfolio diversification

P3

Portfolio diversification involves blending trading strategies with low or negative correlations to minimize overall risk and enhance returns. This approach helps balance strategies by distributing exposure across various markets, timeframes, indicators, and signals. Diversification also aids in smoothing the equity curve and adapting to different market conditions and scenarios. However, effective diversification demands diligent management and monitoring, along with periodic rebalancing and adjustments, to sustain optimal portfolio composition and performance.

Strategy selection

P4

Strategy selection is the process of choosing the most effective trading strategies based on the results of backtesting and optimization. This process helps us refine our approach by eliminating strategies that are ineffective, inconsistent, or incompatible with our goals, while focusing on those that are profitable, reliable, and complementary. However, strategy selection often involves trade-offs, such as sacrificing some potential returns for reduced risk or accepting certain drawdowns for the possibility of higher returns.

Strategy adaptation

P5

Strategy adaptation is the process of modifying more trading strategies to suit the changing market conditions and dynamics. We balanced the trading strategies by improving their responsiveness and flexibility, as well as avoiding stagnation and decay. Also we needed to capitalize on new opportunities and avoid new threats, as well as maintain competitive edge and relevance. However, the strategy adaptation also required constant research and analysis, as well as careful testing and validation, to ensure that our strategy changes are beneficial.

Strategy evaluation

P6

Strategy evaluation is the process of assessing the performance and behavior of our NEW trading strategy (Trading Hedge Strategy) using various metrics and indicators, such as profit factor, maximum drawdown, and win rate. After conducting thorough evaluations with all available trading instruments (Forex, Metals, Shares, Indices, Commodities, Crypto, etc), we concluded that we have developed a highly profitable trading strategy that significantly minimizes the risk of portfolio losses.

Final strategy

P7

Final Strategy is the culmination of the previous six steps. After thoroughly evaluating, refining, and optimizing our trading strategy(Trading Hedge Strategy), we have developed a robust, data-driven approach that balances risk and reward. Trading Hedge Strategy integrates the best-performing elements from our backtesting and optimization phases, utilizing more diversified strategies to minimize risk while maximizing returns. By continuously adapting to changing market conditions and maintaining flexibility, Trading Hedge Strategy is designed to perform consistently over time, ensuring long-term success and sustainability. This comprehensive, carefully crafted strategy reflects the results of extensive research, testing, and refinement, providing a reliable foundation for successful trading.
